1. Keep an eye on the texture of felt.

2. Thickness of felt.

3. Whether the felt is pure of not.

4. Color.

Characteristics of felt: Felt is made of natural wool, making use of the milling feature of wool and adhesion. Felt possess the function of filtering, polishment, sealing, insulation, shockproof, oil absorption, heat preservation, heat insulation, sound insulation and so on.

Main features include: full of elasticity, be served as material for shockproof, sealing, padding and the bottom felt of the elastic steel wire cloth. Felt is good in adhesion, hard to loose, suitable for producing all shape parts. Heat preversation of felt is well, so it is used as heat preservation material. Closely textured with tiny pores, felt can be used as filtering material. For its wear resistance, felt is used as polishing material.

Use: Industrial felt is applied widely to metallurgy, war industry, mining power generation, forestry, weaving, leather, printing, electromechanical, telecommunication, instrument, medical equipment, traffic, aviation, ship, electronics, piano, mirror and stainless steel polishment and other light and heavy industry. Civil felt is used largely in pads, warm keeping, heat insulation and other fields.

Notes

1. The density unit of felt is gram per cube centimeter. Too large density will lose elasticity, while little density will lose wear resistance. Thickness, texture both have effects on its function. To purchase felt according to tha actual using purpose.

2. Felt is divided into premium felt and ordinary felt. The difference is the texture, density and color; felt can be also sorted by its force, extension, capillary action. When inspection, you can take these as standards. According to national regulation, we provide the following types as your choice: T112;112;122;132;142.

Illustration to Felt Code

1. The technical code of felt is combined of five numbers. The first one represents product color; the second one reprents original material; the third represents descriptions and the fourth and fifth represent density. “T” represents premium felt, like T112-41, which refers to the premium white thin felt, and the density is 0.41g per cube centimeter; 122-32 refers to white half-thick felt with density of 0.32g per cube centimeter;T112-32~44 refers to ultra thin felt with the density of 0.32-0.44 g per cube centimeter; T112-41—8mm*1000mm*1000mm, refers to premire white thin wool felt, with the density of 0.41g per cube centimeter, and the thickness is 8 mm.

2. To place an order, the code, thickness and area are needed. When placing bob and felt-made parts, you can provide standard codes and part drawing. The special model felt products has some certain requirements on technology, so we will consult before placing an order.
